The People's Academy is HANA's racial justice program, created and led by our Racial Justice Committee, in collaboration with Geobuki Hakkyo (School of Turtles, also known as GBG). GBG launched the People's Academy program in 2023, and we're excited to continue this important work in 2025.

In our Fall Session, we are focusing on the intersection of immigration and anti-Blackness.

A conversation with a local group advocating for African and Black immigrants in Illinois, to help us better understand the issues Black immigrant communities face and how we can build deeper solidarity.
