2026 HANA Center Members Congress: A Future for All

Immigrant and working-class families are being crushed by the rising cost of living and hostile immigration policies. At this year's Members Congress, HANA Center launched the “A Livable Life” (ALL) campaign to hear directly from our neighbors about how the affordability crisis is impacting our lives. We all deserve affordable food, housing, healthcare, and other resources to meet everyday needs and support our families. We all deserve a livable life where can truly thrive.

Almost 100 community members from across the Chicago area gathered to take the ALL survey and engaged in small group discussions to discuss their top-of-mind affordability issues, including:

  • A home you can afford

  • Healthcare you can rely on

  • Time to spend with family

  • Childcare when & where you need it

  • A meaningful job to support your family

Every conversation was a moment of recognition that affordability issues impact us all. By understanding our shared struggles, we can work together to demand real change and build #AFutureForAll.

Thank you to our community leaders, staff, volunteers, community navigators, seniors, and youth for participating this year. Thank you, also, to IL Senator Graciela Guzman’s office for attending our community event.
